| 102). The Sparkling Diamond Tour |
 The Diamond Works is a one-stop, exciting experience for tourists,
both young and old. Situated on the ground floor of the Metropolitan Life Centre, directly
opposite the Cape Town International Convention Centre, there is convenient parking right
outside the main entrance. It is completely wheelchair friendly. (A complimentary transfer
service is available on request for tourists).
The Sparkling Tour: You will be greeted with a glass of bubbly and then taken on
an informative tour that takes approximately twenty minutes. The tour starts with a fully
operational diamond-cutting workshop, staffed by diamond cutters from previously
disadvantaged communities who are all graduates from the Harry Oppenheimer Diamond Cutting
School in Johannesburg. This is followed by the jewellery-manufacturing workshop where one

African National Museum |
 R70 annual
membership (concessions available) gets you free entry into the Museum for a year. Monthly
lectures (on the last Tuesday of each month) cover topics like 'Elephant management in
South Africa' and are free for members. Exciting day trips like a 'Safari in Central Cape
Town: an urban hunt for creatures wild and domestic' are on the cards for 2008. A

| The market at the Old Viscuit Mill in
Woodstock on Saturday mornings which is a feast of food and interesting designer objects from art to clothes to books. This is as much a source
