Woodcutters Forest Cottages \ Accommodation in Knysna

Situated on the edge of the Knysna Indigenous Forest in Knysna are two charming self catering cottages: Woodcutters Cottage and Mellow Wood Cottage. Both cottages are fully equipped for self catering accommodation complete with cozy fireplaces for winter, patios with braai (barbecue) facilities and for those summer nights, a hammock to relax in. Wake up in nature’s paradise to the sound of bird song.

Enjoy your breakfast overlooking forest, dams and meadows. Walk out of your cottage into the forest. Beautiful trails will take you past indigenous Knysna woods, streams and fynbos. Thrill at the sight of buck, monkeys and bush pig.

For the more energetic, the Homtini mountain bike trail is on your doorstep. So is the famous historic Millwood gold mining town and Jubilee Creek river and picnic spot - not to mention the Outeniqua Trail which leads through the forest behind the cottage.

ACCOMMODATION:

In both cottages the decor is a tasteful combination of forest green and timber to compliment the surrounding nature. The cottages are fully-equipped for self-catering. All linen, towels, cutlery and crockery are provided. The cottages are equipped with T.V. and come with cozy fireplaces for winter. On the stoep you will find braai (barbecue) and bonfire facilities, for those summer nights, and a hammock to relax in.

Woodcutter Cottage:
Sleeps 2 - 6 with large open plan living/dining area ideal for large families or small groups. Woodcutter Cottage opens out onto large elevated deck with views of the forest.

Mellow Wood Cottage:
Cozy cottage sleeping 2 adults and 2 children. Open plan sleeping/living area. Mellow Wood Cottage opens up onto a stoep (patio) overlooking the forest.

AROMATHERAPY & MASSAGE:

Enjoy a massage or aromatherapy session in the massage cottage in the forest with resident therapist Vanita.

JUBILEE CREEK:

Only 5 minutes by car, you will find a quaint river which runs through the forest and offers lovely picnic and braai spots on its banks and a swimming hole a short picturesque walk away.

KNYSNA:

Knysna, the quaint picturesque town with its sparkling lagoon is only 25 minutes away. So too are the beaches, rivers and entire lake district with its water activities.
