This luxurious wine estate - established in 1805 - offers breathtaking scenery, a spa with treatment facilities, an exclusive country restaurant, a producing wine cellar, a small intimate wine cellar and game drives from our doorstep and all the facilities of a top-class 4 star guesthouse.

The Guesthouse is a haven of serenity with a choice of eight elegant rooms located in the original Farm House and the new Manor House of the property. Each en-suite room is tastefully furnished with exquisite colonial furniture’s and all rooms overlook the vineyards, the dam or our manicured gardens.

Amenities on offer to our patrons include an on-site spa and wellness centre. Guests can shed their cares and surrender themselves to the quality of personal service, unique to a small luxury establishment. Rosendal is an ideal starting point for day excursions to some of the Breede River’s other attractions.

Accommodation

Spa Suites:
Larger rooms in the Manor House, overlooking the pool, the dam and the grape orchards. Furnished with colonial teak furniture and with a romantic, open bath, surrounded by silk curtains.

Farm Rooms:
The three standard rooms are located in the old Farm House. All the rooms are en-suite and have a private stoop with a view over the grape orchards that are just meters away. There is colonial teak furniture in all the standard rooms.

Family Room:
We have two en-suite farm rooms that are inter-linked; ideal for a family. The main room has a romantic fireplace. There is colonial teak furniture in both rooms.

Wellness Centre

At the Spa and Wellness Centre of Rosendal our qualified therapists offers traditional treatments using products from wine grapes, powered with antioxidants and feeling as nice as they are healthy. With the dry climate of Robertson, the Spa utilises the outdoor environment for many of its activities; including the option of outdoor treatments during summer (Oct-Apr). In addition you will find a year-round relaxed indoor environment with a open lounge, steam bath, showers and treatment room.

Conference Centre

Rosendal boasts a brand new conference venue for groups of between 4 and 20 people. With a conference room situated in the intimacy and privacy of our wine cellar, it is the perfect venue for management conferences, executive board meetings and team-building sessions.

One of Breede Rivers Top 10 Restaurants: Head Chef Stelios presents a fusion of classical cuisine amidst ageless splendour accompanied by award-winning Robertson wines. Cigar bar for pre-and after dinner drinks next to the wine cellar is available for the restaurants guests.

Game Drives

The Nature Lover will have a fantastic opportunity to explore the hidden valley and admire the 2000 HA of spectacular mountain scenery. Our trails will appeal to those interested in birds, game and indigenous flora and fauna.

The guide of Klaas Vogds Nature Reserve will take you from our doorstep into the Langeberg mountain which is home to a large Varity of Fynbos such as Proteas and Erica's and other species including lilies, ferns and trees. Game viewing opportunities in the Nature Reserve include among others; Mountain Zebras, Giraffes, Duiker, Rhebok, Bush Buck, Cape Otter, Lynx, Baboon and even leopard.
