Pine Tree Lodge \ Accommodation in Pinelands

Pine Tree Lodge is a comfortably furnished, self catering 2-bedroom apartment centrally situated in the garden suburb of Pinelands, less than a mile (1600 metres) from Vincent Pallotti Hospital, overlooking a beautiful garden and the fairways of the Mowbray Golf Club, with a magnificent view of the Table Mountain range in Cape Town. It is the perfect base to explore the Cape Peninsula and the Winelands.

Accommodation

The apartment comprises a large lounge/dining room, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and a large balcony. It is well equipped and is ideal for either long or short-term stays.

A private entrance leads up a flight of stairs to the living area. All other rooms lead off the lounge/dining room (see floor layout plan). Satellite TV is provided in the living room. A mini HI FI system with FM radio, CD player and tape deck plus a DVD player and VHS tape machine are also provided. There is a spectacular view of the mountain from the balcony, which is large enough to accommodate a table, chairs and loungers. There is convenient access to the garden and guests may use the swimming pool.

There is a queen size double bed in the smaller bedroom and two single beds in the larger bedroom. Your hosts can provide an additional, full-size single bed and/or a folding baby’s cot in the larger bedroom, if required. A hair driver and towelling gowns are provided for the convenience of guests. The bathroom boasts a large bath, a separate glass-walled shower, a toilet, vanity basin with large wall mirror and plenty of cupboard space.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-plate hob, microwave oven, refrigerator, kettle, toaster and cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and a breakfast table with four chairs. There is also a fully automatic washing machine in the kitchen and a retractable washing line on the balcony making it very convenient for guests to do their personal laundry. Telephone, fax and e-mail facilities are available. There is off-street parking behind security fencing and an electronically operated gate.

Ron used to be a SATOUR registered tourist guide and can offer guests expert, free advice on tours of the Cape Peninsula, Historical and Cultural tours of the City, the Winelands and other things to see and do in the area.

Location

Pine Tree Lodge is located near shopping centres and excellent restaurants with easy access to major highways - only 12 minutes to the city centre, the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and Cape Town International airport. Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands are only 30-40 minutes away.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the apartment.
