Welcome to Pictures Guest House, situated in Oudtshoorn, the heart of the Klein Karoo almost on the famous Route 62. Pictures is situated in a quiet residential area of Oudtshoorn close to the town center and close to major tourist attractions. With its warm and comfortable environment created, you will feel right at home.

The name Pictures is chosen because of the black and white photographs, which are mostly 1950’s photo’s, that are displayed throughout the house with each guestroom having a special theme.

Accommodation

Our guesthouse offers three luxury, comfortable rooms each with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom and private balcony, decorated with a pictures theme. The rooms include: TV with DsTV, DVD player, (in house DVD library) Hi-fi with CD player and CD’s in the rooms, tea and coffee making facilities with freshly baked biscuits, hairdryers, digital safe and a fully stocked mini-bar.

Luxury Double Room
We have a luxury double with en-suite shower, king-size bed or two separate beds, small balcony with partly views of the Swartberg Mountains.

Deluxe King Room
We have two very spacious Deluxe rooms with either an ensuite shower or ensuite bath and separate shower, king or twin beds and balcony with views over the garden and the Swartberg Mountains.

Breakfast

Continental and English breakfast is served on the veranda overlooking the garden and pool. We serve freshly baked bread rolls, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese, cereals and yogurt and eggs cooked to your liking.

Activities and Attractions

Your hosts Wim and Margot Geleijnse will gladly advise you with your daily tour plans to get the most out of your visit to Oudtshoorn. We can arrange guided day-trips, taxi transfers and make restaurant reservations for you.

A trip over the Swartberg Mountains and Prince Albert is a must. For the more adventurous you can also make a trip to “the Hell”, which is part of the Swartberg Mountains. For this trip guided tours are also possible.

The Animal Wild Life Range is only 5 minutes away. The Cango Caves will take you about 35 minutes drive. If you like to visit an Ostrich farm, we recommend The Cango Ostrich farm which is about 15 minutes drive.

If you want to include all the sights Oudtshoorn has to offer, a minimum of two nights is a must!
