Hermanus Lodge is an enchanting base from which to explore the wonders of Hermanus, only minutes from the beach, cliff paths, whale watching and the Hermanus Village.

Nestled between the majestic Hermanus Mountains and one of the worlds most beautiful golf courses is the Hermanus Lodge. Superbly located and purpose built as a guesthouse, Hermanus Lodge offers a great escape and a chance to relax and take in the tranquility of your surroundings.

From our back yard a pathway will lead you deep into the Fernkloof Nature Reserve and its world famous indigenous Fynbos. Skirt around the Golf course to the Atlantic Ocean for a stroll along the romantic Hermanus Cliff paths. Hold your breath as a mother whale and her new born calf come within meters of the rocky shoreline. Here you will discover why Hermanus offers the best land based whale watching in the world.

Accommodation

Hermanus Lodge offers exclusive accommodation with six innovative designer bedrooms, each with its own finely appointed bathroom and furnished balcony. Natural stone baths, vaulted ceilings, African interiors and a colonial style wrap around balcony combine to bring you an unforgettable experience.

Each luxury room is equipped with wall mounted heaters, hair dryer, complimentary tea & coffee making facilities as well as mini-bar fridges. Our family room caters for parents wanting to share a room with young children who we accommodate with a King size bed for the adults and a sleeper couch suitable for two young children (under 12) to share.

Three of our double rooms can either be used with a King size bed or split into twin beds allowing friends or partners to share a room with separate beds.

Facilities

And when you become just too relaxed for a trip to the beach… simply cool down in our pool situated amongst wild olive trees in a sun drenched courtyard. Or sip a sundowner from your vantage point in the Rocky lounge, next to a crackling open fireplace, watching the shadows lengthen on the fairway as another perfect day draws to an end in Hermanus.

Attractions & Activities

Hermanus Lodge and Hermanus are all year round destinations, as during the colder, wetter months of June- August the regions award winning wine farms and restaurants are well worth the short 1 ½ hr drive from Cape Town.

The Hermanus Golf Course and Arabella Country Club are also famous for their all year round playability, so don’t restrict your visits to the busy summer months when there is plenty on offer out of season, who knows you may even catch some of the early arriving Southern Right whales.
