Otter's Bend \ Accommodation in Bonnievale

Otter’s Bend offers two lovely cottages and a garden flatlet. The cottages are nestled on the edge of a dam with panoramic views over vineyards to the Langeberg Mountains. They are spacious, comfortable and fully equipped with all mod cons. We cater for couples, groups and families with children. Also available is a twin bedded garden flatlet ideal for a couple.

Situated on a wine and fruit farm, in the beautiful Breede River Valley, the serene and peaceful surroundings encourage guests to relax and unwind after a day of visiting the many attractions of the area. The dam is available for swimming, boating or paddle skiing. The Breede River is within easy walking distance. Bird watching is a popular pastime

Otter’s Bend is only 14 kms from the supermarkets and restaurants of Bonnievale and is the perfect base for excursions to the popular wine cellars of the valley, as well as day visits to Swellendam, Montagu, Robertson and McGregor.

ACCOMMODATION

The comfortable lounge overlooks the dam and mountains. There is a fireplace and TV
The main bedroom has a double bed and a lovely view. There is a safe for the storage of valuables.

The second bedroom is a spacious room containing two sets of bunk beds, thus sleeping 4 guests. The bunks are standard single size beds and the top ones are high enough to enable an adult to sit comfortably on the lower beds. Both bedrooms have wall heaters.

The convenience of our guests is assured with a bathroom, with bath and shower and a separate toilet. Linen and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped. All utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided. The front patio has a braai (barbecue) area and wood is provided.

Garden Flatlet
Our attractive garden flatlet overlooks one of the farm gardens and vineyards with views to the Riviersonderend mountains, and a charming view of the Langeberg mountains from the kitchen.

The flatlet sleeps 2 guests and offers:

Internet connection at main house if required.
The use of rowboat, paddle skis are free of charge.

Attractions and Activities

There are numerous wine festivals throughout the year, including the very popular Wacky Wine Weekend. Tasting is available at the cellars and several have restaurants attached. Enjoy a river cruise or fish for carp and bass. Bonnievale holds a cycling event annually and craft markets abound in the region. Further afield is a tractor trip up the mountains - an unforgettable experience. Bonnievale has a 9 hole golf course.
