Located half way between Cape Point and Cape Town city centre, Moon Bay Guest House is the ideal place from which to explore all the Cape has to offer. A short drive to the Cape Winelands. Relax, explore and enjoy the comforts of this modern and well-appointed home with all the modern conveniences. Moon Bay Guest House is a modern home with spaciousness and tranquility set in the magnificent scenery of the Cape Peninsula a short 12 minute walk to the safe beach and safe Fish Hoek village. There are stunning panoramic views from False Bay with warm Indian Ocean currents, and the Hottentots Mountains beyond, through mountains of the Table Mountain National Park to Chapman's Peak on the Atlantic Ocean.

Accommodation

The accommodation is available as bed and breakfast or self-catering for 4 to 16 people, or as a holiday Villa with all the modern conveniences available. There are six bedrooms all with King-size beds - one is extra length. All bedrooms can be made into twin rooms - five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. One has its own private bathroom. There is a separate guest toilet at the entrance. Three bedrooms have balconies - two bedrooms have a shared lounge with a sliding door onto a large patio and terraced area.

There is accommodation for a total of 12 adults and 3/4 children with comfort but more sharing can be arranged.

Facilities

There are many extras, from the free Wi Fi Internet service to a fully fitted kitchen and a separate kitchenette, a separate laundry, all the utensils and crockery, 100% cotton linen, anti-allergic duck downs and quality towels for the bathroom and beach. There is a main lounge at the entrance level and a nook lounge on the lower level for the children or a family unit. There are balconies, patio’s and terraces all with splendid views.

Services

The husband and wife owners personally manage the house hold and supervise three service staff. The owners live in a separate house in the same street and are available for advice or sight-seeing information to make the most of your stay in the Cape. When renting the exclusive Villa all the utensils and facilities are available down to the braai.

Conferences

Company retreats, conferences and strategy sessions have taken place at Moon Bay Guest House - As have many special event, birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons. If needed the owners can organise gala dinners and manage other logistics as needed, like travel and tours.

Attractions & Activities

The House/Villa is on the mountainside amongst the Fynbos in the natural beauty of the Cape with both the sea and the mountains as your views.

There is golf and tennis in the Village both with professional coaches available for hire. You can learn to surf / Para surf / kayak / sail / fish / horse ride or just walk the beaches and watch others do this.

There is whale watching in season - you can visit seal Island in False Bay with 74,000 Cape Fur Seals, Baboons and other buck in the Cape Nature Reserve, Penguins at Boulders Beach and the Great White Shark in some adventure experiences on trips from Simon’s Town. There are 30 restaurants in the area covering every type of cuisine.
