If you want to break away from the rush of the city to relax in peace, privacy and tranquillity, without travelling for more than an hour from Cape Town, you will be pleasantly surprised to find the little village called Yzerfontein, off the R27, a jewel on the West Coast.

We are proud to introduce and welcome you to Lewens-Essens B&B, where your soul will be enriched by the beauty of nature. Amongst other things the unobstructed 180 degree view will reward you with the most stunning sunsets. We are situated on the beach front, no more than 20 meters from the rocks and sea, with spectacular views over Schaap and Dassen Islands from every room.

Accommodation

Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom is well equipped for the guest who likes to stay in luxury and comfort. Double sliding doors open onto a balcony with an amazing 180 degree view from Table Mountain to Saldanha. A spa bath (with hand shower), double basin, king size bed, CD / radio player, tea / coffee facility, TV and hair dryer, are standard amenities. A full English breakfast is included.

African Room
The African Room is situated on the ground floor and has its own private entrance with a sliding door opening onto a private patio with chairs, table and umbrella. It has an on-suite shower, queen size bed, TV, clock radio, tea/coffee facility, hair dryer and two-seater couch. A full English breakfast is included.

Honeymoon Suite
We also cater for honeymoon couples with a romantic luxury room made up with red roses, red lights, white lace and satin linen and a spa bath. Champagne is provided. A full English breakfast is included.

Activities and Attractions

One can explore the coast line along white sandy beaches and enjoy the abundant sea life in the shallow pools. In the evening the moonlight on the water is just a little bit more breathtaking than in the cities, because we have no street lights. The walking trail along the sea passes in front of the establishment and will introduce you to our fynbos and flowers when in season. Whales, dolphins and seals are also regularly seen in Yzerfontein.
