Allow us the opportunity to spoil you by offering personal service at our 3 star, AA Highly Recommended Bed & Breakfast that is nestled in the heart of Knysna on the Garden Route in South Africa. The Manor House overlooks the Knysna Lagoon and is within walking distance to shopping centres, medical facilities, banks, exclusive shops, local craft markets, restaurants and the Knysna Waterfront.

ACCOMMODATION

The Victorian Charm of the Historical Knysna Manor House can be seen as soon as soon as one sets eyes on this 100-year-old house. From the original yellowwood floors to the character of each individual room, the Victorian theme is carried throughout this enchanting Bed & Breakfast. The accommodation consists of thirteen en-suite rooms that are lovingly furnished and equipped with all the comforts that you would expect at home.

Since taking over the guest house in 2007, the owners have lovingly upgraded the rooms and this can be seen in the homely furnishings and décor throughout Knysna Manor House.

FACILITIES

A great way to spend an evening is by having a braai (barbecue) at our secluded entertainment area. Braai packs, salads, charcoal, cutlery and crockery can be pre-arranged with Brenda (please ensure you give ample notice).

SERVICE

For a nominal fee, a shuttle service is available from George airport to Knysna Manor House. We can arrange trips to the any of the magnificent golf clubs on the Garden Route and we are also available to show you the enchanting sights of Knysna. Anthony can advise our guests about the various tourist attractions and will enthral you with his ever-growing knowledge of the history of the Knysna and the Garden Route.

ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES

Knysna lies in the heart of the Garden Route, home to the Famous Knysna Lagoon and Knysna Heads and of course oysters. For the thrill seeker, the World’s highest Bungee jump is situated in the Tsitsikamma Forests. Experience every emotion whilst plunging 219m off the Bloukrans Bridge. For the adventurer that is not prepared to jump, why not try gliding 30 metres above the forest on a Canopy Tour. The Garden Route is also ideal for Mountain Biking fanatics, with organised Forest Tours.

The Garden Route is a paradise for Golfers with Knysna being home to the Jack Nicklaus Simola Golf Estate, Pezula Golf Estate and Knysna Golf Club. Further afield in Mossel Bay you will find the Ernie Else designed Oubaai Course, Pinnacle Point and of course Fancourt in George.

A relaxing boat ride across the Knysna Lagoon is a great way to watch the sunset, or you can go on a tour to the Famous Featherbed Estate. For water sports fanatics, why not try skiing or kite surfing. Although Knysna does not have any swimming beaches, they are only a 10 minutes car ride away.

Local craft and curio shops in Knysna are a mere two-minute walk from Knysna Manor House, as are the local pubs and restaurants. Knysna Waterfront boasts many exclusive shops and a variety of restaurants.
