Helderbos Bed & Breakfast is a 3-star guest house, graded by the Tourism Council. It is friendly, comfortable and all the animals that reside are evidence of a warm, loving atmosphere. Helderbos Bed & Breakfast overlooks False Bay and is set in an attractive 3 acre garden with 200 hundred year old oak and pine trees.

Accommodation

The 5 en-suite bedrooms are individually decorated and have tea trays and TV's. Parking is absolutely safe. Full breakfasts - "The best in the west!" - are served in the dining room or on the patio next to the pool. You enter the front door through a large courtyard where a glorious 50-year-old bouganvillea cascades over the edges of the roof - a breathtaking sight!

5 very private guest rooms:

Room 1:
The Dolly Vardin Room - flowering and bright. This room is for those who want to be closer to the main house, dining room, swimming pool and garden. There are twin beds.

Room 2:
This is our ethnic room with twin beds and has a full private bathroom. It also looks out onto the garden and the bay.

Room 3:
An airy room with two windows, affectionately known by tourists as the sunshine room. It has a double bed and looks out onto the garden. One also has a view of the ocean in the distance.

Room 4:
Located on your left when entering the courtyard. This room is lovely and warm in winter and features a queen size bed. Cool in summer, it is round the corner from the outside lounge which has a fireplace, bar fridge and microwave. There is a large table and chairs for those who want to work or study. Convenient for those who stay for longer periods.

Room 5:
It is upstairs and leads out of the lounge. It is another north facing, sunny room with twin beds. Visitors call this the "Honeymoon" room because of the Old Victorian bath and unique atmosphere.

Location

Ideally situated away from the hustle and bustle, yet a mere five minutes away from the beaches, wine route and golf courses. The airport is 20 minutes away, Stellenbosch is 15 minutes away and it's just 30 minutes from the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town City Centre.
