Jan and Sanmarie are the hosts of Harbour Vue a 4 star architect designed luxury double storey Guest House. Uniquely located with magnificent sea views overlooking the Atlantic ocean where the Southern Right whales play in the bay from July to November.

Many people from all over the world visit Hermanus to view these creatures from the best land based whale watching destination in the world. Situated 100 meters from the famous cliff paths that meanders for 10km from the harbour in the west, past town to the beaches in the east.

Come and enjoy the South African cuisine, whales, champagne air and the warm hospitality that Hermanus has to offer. Located 500 meters from the New Harbour with two excellent restaurants, and close enough to walk to the centre of town on the famous cliff paths with the wild flowers (Fynbos)and whales which makes it a most enjoyable walk.

Accommodation

Our 4 rooms are large spacious and tastefully decorated with an eclectic touch, some old and some new, with American shutters for total privacy. All our rooms are equipped with TVs, safes, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities.

The Southern Right room
En- suite with separate spa bath and shower, king-size bed and a beautiful sea view.

The Fynbos room
En -suite with shower only, king-size bed, balcony and a sea view.

The Abalone room
En- suite with shower only, twin or king-size bed and a balcony with a mountain view.

The Neptune room
En- suite with shower only, king-size bed, private lounge with balcony overlooking the pool and garden.

Breakfast

Generous full English or continental breakfast is served on the sea-facing dining room with glass sliding doors which can be opened for the fresh ocean and Fynbos aroma, or at the pool on request.

Relax with a book or a glass of wonderful South African wine in our cosy comfortable lounge with a fireplace, honesty bar and a beautiful sea view.
We offer secure off street parking, and a well secured warm home to our guests.

Scuba diving at the new harbour; Shark cage diving at Gansbaai; Whale watching by boat; 27 hole Golf course; Fernkloof Nature reserve regarded as one of the riches floral kingdoms in the world with walking trails which can be accessed from the information centre in the reserve. Wine tasting and picnics on cheese farm. Explore the Overberg with many small and interesting towns. These are just some of the activities Hermanus has to offer.
