18 km north-west of Calitzdorp (Route 62) in the foothills of the majestic Swartberge, lies the evergreen Groenfontein valley. On the banks of the ever flowing Nels river where the 8th generation farm cattle, tobacco and ostriches, you will rest in heavenly tranquillity.
Experience long walks into the mountain, cycle through the valley on your mountain bike, braai at the river or watch the daily farming routine and bird life. Come and experience a tour on the farm and hear from the horses’ mouth the sweet and sour reality.

Oregon pine ceilings and doors give the cottages a historical character.
Oupa Piet: Up to 6 people (2 double and 2 single beds) can sleep in the larger cottage.
Oom Kleinbaas: Up to 4 people (1 double and 2 single beds) can sleep in the smaller cottage.
• Each cottage has a full bathroom.

Situated 40 km from the Cango Caves, 60 km from Oudtshoorn and 70 km from Prince Albert, Gamkaskloof or better known as "Die Hel" is 2 hours drive away. The guest farm is 115 km from George, the nearest airport and beach resort.
Visit Calitzdorp for world winning port, wine tasting at the cellars and the murals in the church wall, a first in the country. 3 Restaurants specialise in Little Karoo cuisine.
