Glenconner Stellenbosch

Glenconner offers accommodation in a self-catering cottage or B&B in the house.

Situated five minutes from Stellenbosch in the Jonkershoek valley, with spectacular mountain views and the Eerste River flowing through the estate, Glenconner offers the visitor the chance to hike in the mountains, stroll along the river banks, swim or mountain bike.

Accommodation

Accommodation consists of a one-bedroom cottage or a double en-suite room in the house. Both have views on to magnificent Jonkershoek mountain scenery, facilities for outdoor eating and barbecues. The cottage has a mini-kitchen with a fridge and microwave. Towels and linen are provided. The cottage suits a couple with or without children (max 2 adults and 2 kids), while the B&B accommodation in the farm house is for a couple only.

Glenconner Cottage:
Situated under a 300-year-old oak tree, the cottage consists of a bedroom, bathroom with bath and shower, and farm-style sitting and dining area with French doors opening on to a red-tiled patio. In the evening the patio is the ideal place to sample local wines after a swim in the spring-water pool.

Glenconner House:
Spacious, luxurious double bedroom with romantic four-poster bed, and en suite bathroom, in the gabled east wing of a Cape Dutch revival house. Entrance from the oak-tree shaded terrace overlooking the spring-water swimming pool, water meadows, Eerste river and in the distance the Jonkershoek mountains.

Location

Glenconner is adjacent to a nature reserve and the well-known Boland hiking trail starts close by. Indigenous flora (fynbos) flourishes in this area and a hiker may even be lucky enough to spot the tracks of the elusive Cape mountain leopard.

Glenconner is close to excellent restaurants and wine estates and ideally situated for exploring the Cape, Franschhoek and Paarl or the beaches of Strand and Gordon's Bay (25 minutes).
