Eagles Rest Guest Lodge \ Accommodation in Napier

Situated 120km from Cape Town, on an indigenous flower farm outside the quaint town of Napier, set in the quiet country surroundings between the mountains; this secluded self catering accommodation offers units for 4 to 11 people and can accommodate conference or wedding requirements. With its tranquil settings, picturesque views, stunning sunsets and nature at your feet, all guests will be made to feel welcome. Eagles Rest is a new Lodge which was the original farmhouse, it opened in November 2010. The inside walls are still the original clay walls.

The quiet lifestyle offers beautiful bird life and lovely hiking and mountain biking trails. There is a new trail which takes one up to the farms most beautiful sight - "The Waterfall". There are beautiful dams for fishing and for swimming. Wide open spaces and rolling lawns make a good playground for all to enjoy.

Personal farm tours of indigenous flowers and proteas for the export market can be arranged. Eagles Rest is very central for those day trips to Hermanus, Gansbaai for shark cage diving or Struisbaai for the best fish and chips. There is a wine route which will offer all our local wines made here in the Overberg.

Accommodation

The main lounge in the guesthouse has an inside fire place for those cold and winter days. Both units are fitted with DStv and wireless internet. Each room has its own en-suite bathroom fitted with under floor heating. Furnished with luxury amenities, heated towel rails, coffee nook and blow dryers and crisp white linen makes for a comfortable stay.

Sit outside under the verandah and enjoy overlooking wonderful views of the mountains and the dam where water birds come and land. Experience the outdoors by fishing, swimming, mountain biking, bird watching or canoeing on the dams.

Conferences and Weddings

The main house can run as a B&B, team-building venue with conference facilities for 26 people. Eagles Rest's tranquil atmosphere lends itself to the perfect venue for intimate garden weddings. Catering for weddings from a set menu, as well as flowers from the farm can be arranged on request.

Activities and Attractions

There is a petting cage for the little ones to come and enjoy the smaller animals. Eagles Rest is in the process of bringing in some small buck and zebras for the guests to enjoy in the future.
