DuVon Wedding Venue \ Accommodation in Robertson

The name DuVon symbolizes the merging of the two sole co-owners: Armand Hercolaas Du Toit, winemaker, and his uncle Alex Karl Von Klopmann, professional engineer and farmer.

Alex immigrated to Cape Town in 1990 and joined his nephew at DuVon to rekindle the family farming tradition. Armand acquired a passion for wine making from his parents, Ida and Jacques du Toit, who were fruit and wine growers. Together with his uncle Alex, he set about restoring the cellar at DuVon, which dates back to 1940. Proof of his passion for wine making is the fact that Armand began making wine at the age of 19.

Armand and Alex, sharing a commitment to producing noble wines, will continue to produce excellent wines for years to come, driven by an ambition to pay tribute to their family legacy.

About DuVon

DuVon Wine Farm, Guesthouse and Wedding Venue provides the perfect getaway, nestled amongst the vineyards and gardens of the farm Little Italy. This picturesque setting is situated 30 km from Worcester and 10 km from Robertson in the magnificent valley of wine and roses. It is only two hour’s drive from Cape Town International Airport.

The farm offers exquisite wines that may be enjoyed while sitting beside the picture-perfect swimming pool, with a view that stretches over 29 acres of vineyards and beyond.

Owners Armand du Toit and his uncle, Alex von Klopman, have lovingly restored the old cellar (dating back to 1940), and have progressively developed this young winery.

The first red vintage was bottled in 2003, followed by the first white vintage in 2005. The main cultivars are Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

Wedding

DuVon truly offers all new brides a memorable wedding experience with a breathtaking view over the scenic wine lands and Langeberg mountain range. We have fully equipped kitchen, bar and toilet facilities. We can accommodate about 100 - 200 guests in our wedding venue including a dance floor.

We have three self-catering units which can accommodate a total of 10 guests for the closest family members, including additional accommodation at neighbouring farms in a 3km radius which can accommodate ± 100 guests - this allows a unique wedding package deal!

Facilities

CEREMONY
DuVon's garden has one of the most beautiful and scenic views overlooking the vineyards and it easily seats 200 guests. Please keep in mind that it depends on the weather.

Another option is an intimate ceremony between the wine tanks in our cellar and it seats up to 120 guests.

Ceremonies can also be held in town.

VENUE
The venue has seating capacities from between 100 and 200 guests, depending on the layout of the tables and it includes a dance floor. We do our own catering and offer a bar service. Tables, cutlery, crockery and glasses are included in the venue hire.

CATERING
The various catering options are endless. Specific menus and quotations are prepared according to your own preferences and needs.

BAR FACILITIES
We have a fully equipped and licensed bar. Two barman and ice are provided.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

After the final booking has been confirmed, we like to invite you to stay for an evening in one of our exquisite self-catering units in order to arrange all meetings with the various parties involved, such as the wedding co-ordinator, caterer, florist, decor specialist, etc.
