Dreamland \ Accommodation in Paternoster

This first floor, two-bedroom unit is on a self-sufficient smallholding which overlooks the bay of Paternoster. Great views of the bay and surrounds. We are a lot closer than you think, as pictures cannot do justice!

Self Catering Accommodation

The unit sleeps five (5) to eight (8) people and has one sea-view room with a double bed and another, farm-view, with one double bed and one single bed. There are also panel heaters in both bedrooms. There are also three (3) camp beds with mattresses in addition to the standard beds in the two bedrooms.

The unit has a full bathroom with a shower and bed linen and towels are provided. The kitchen has many appliances including a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a fridge / freezer with ice-maker and in-line water filter dispenser for drinking water. Cutlery, crockery, glassware, baking ware, a microwave and an electric oven and a gas hob are also available. The unit has a balcony with an outside fireplace for braaiing / barbecuing. There is also a large private lawn area below, with a small farm splash-pool.

The unit can fully accommodate five people on standard beds provided and an additional maximum of three people on camper beds at an additional charge of per person. There is no charge for children under two years on camp beds. The lounge / kitchen and rooms are large.

Facilities

Unit facilities:
The lounge has a TV with full DSTV bouquet and a DVD player with a selection of movies available from main house.

Bathroom Facilities:
En-suite to bedrooms, large spa-size bath, separate enclosed shower, dual-flush toilet and hand basin with cabinet vanity and towel rail.

Other Facilities:
Access to fax, photocopy machine; basic internet access (no large downloading or web-surfing), hairdryer, iron and portable fan on request. There is safe and secure on-site parking, with a remote-operated control gate.

This is an animal lover's paradise and children are welcome to feed farm animals by prior arrangement (horse, sheep, chickens, ducks and a potbelly pig). Our own fresh farm eggs, veggies and braai wood are also available at extra charge.

Pets are not allowed.
We have kennel / boarding facilities (by prior, special arrangement, with full disclosure of details).
Breakfast is not included.
Please note smoking is not allowed in the rooms.

Farming Activities

Dreamland is situated on a self-sufficient smallholding, with free-ranging chickens, providing fresh eggs daily. Farm animals include free-ranging Chickens, Ducks, Potbelly Pig, Horse and Sheep. Children and Adults can help feed animals by prior arrangement.(mornings and early evenings). Organically grown, seasonal vegetables and herbs, produced in nethouses and tunnels. Pick your own salad - for a better, fresher, healthier alternative to the pre-packaged salad packs! We can tell you upon arrival what is available and you are welcome to pick your own. (Items are charged for at nominal farm price). Real value for money and children can see what is involved and where their food comes from, from start to finish!

Activities and Attractions

We are close to beaches and a nature reserve. We have a lot of natural West Coast Fynbos bushes, bulbs and flowers. The Flower season is from the end of August to September.
Activities nearby are bird watching, bicycle touring, game drives, fishing, diving, boating (power and sailing), sea-kayaking, windsurfing, kite surfing, art Galleries and the West Coast Fossil Park.
