Cummings Guesthouse in the peaceful town of Wellington is surrounded by mountains and vineyards. We offer 12 rooms that accommodate up to 24 people. We offer private rooms and self-catering air conditioned units all with en-suite bathrooms, TV and DSTV (Hotel pack), Wireless Internet, double / single beds, bar fridge, hairdryer, coffee, tea tray, breakfast, lunch boxes and dinners on request.

We have a swimming pool, private entrance to every room, safe parking on premises, behind electronic gates, mobile "braai's" for barbeque on request, firewood available to purchase, babysitting on request, walking distance from town centre - including shops, restaurants, pubs, colleges, businesses, pharmacy, doctor, etc , just a few of the extras we offer.

History

It is almost nine years ago that Mattie, co-owner and hostess, identified a gap between the demand and supply in the hospitality industry in Wellington and together with the natural structure of the house which lends itself to it, Cummings Guesthouse was established as a well-known and sought-after destination within three years.

Mattie’s devotion and dedication to Cummings Guesthouse and the hospitality industry is demonstrated by her active involvement in the community, local tourism bureau and entertainment industry / events. This ensures the availability of live information to guests. In support of Mattie’s devotion and dedication Cummings Guesthouse was the first in Wellington to be graded and awarded three stars by the National Grading Council. This inevitably took the hospitality industry in Wellington to a new and higher level of service delivering.

Cummings Guesthouse has been home away from home for a variety of guests - from the ordinary traveller and tourist to a variety of well-known artists like Juanita Claassen, Coenie de Villiers, Patricia Lewis, Olie Viljoen, Pieter Koen, Pasella’s own Paul and Binnelanders doctor Hein, to mention a few.
