Cannon House, officially approved and accredited by Cape Town Tourism and so named after the genuine historic cannon which graces it’s entrance, is nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac above the quaint Victorian village of Simon’s Town overlooking the harbour, False Bay and surrounding mountains.

Cannon House offers bright, spacious and very well appointed sea facing, en -suite accommodation with own separate guest entrance, TV, tea / coffee facilities, mini-fridge and microwave, hair dryer and should there be anything else you might require to make your stay more comfortable, you need only ask!
Location
We are ideally situated within close proximity of several lovely safe bathing beaches and coves and the famous, unique land based African Penguin Colony at Boulders. Cape Town’s major tourist attractions are easily accessible from here, i.e. Table Mountain, the exquisite Chapman’s Peak Drive, the world famous heritage sites of Cape Point Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch Gardens, the buzzy Cape Town Waterfront and the magnificent Cape Wine Routes.
Activities and Attractions
Meandering around Simon’s Town is a relaxed, fascinating and interesting experience with its small intimate museums, delightful and different curio and antique shops and the charming Simon’s Town Waterfront where there are daily harbour cruises and a most enjoyable Water Taxi service to neighbouring Kalk Bay.
Useful tips on Simon’s Town, what to do, where to eat, etc and info on Cape Town and the Western Cape in general is readily available at Cannon House. Tours and transport to and from the airport or to Cape Town Station can be arranged on request.
Activities in the area include scuba diving and diving, whale tours (in season), Seal Island trips, shark cage diving, surfing and wind surfing, golf, hiking, pelagic birding trips, walk with the baboons and sea kayaking.
