Bietou op die See is a self-catering 4-bedroom, 2-bath oceanfront home situated in the community of Vermont, 8 km to the west of Hermanus proper. You are close to town, but with considerably more peace and quiet than you get in staying in-town. Full, unobstructed sea views with nothing between you and the water other than a footpath.

Accommodation

Spacious accommodation for 1-8 persons. En-suite master bedroom with full ocean views and walk-out access to an ocean-facing patio. 2 additional bedrooms, one with two single beds and the other with a double bed and single bunk beds, sleeping 8 in total. Second, full bath. TV room and large open plan sitting & dining area and fully-equipped kitchen with full ocean views. Patios back and front. Hot outdoor shower.

The house has everything you need for your stay, from quality linens and towels, pots and pans, to a hairdryer. Digital Satellite TV with both British and American programming. Full laundry facilities. Secure parking for one vehicle and street parking.

The Area

Vermont is a primarily residential area, with a mix of full-time and weekend residents. Quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive to town. Shopping center 2 km away can supply most of your needs, with additional shopping in town. Excellent sand beach in Onrus, 2 km away. Additional beaches within a 15-minute drive.

Hermanus itself is one of the most favoured destinations in the Western Cape. Just 75 minutes on easy roads from Cape Town airport, the town is rightfully listed in the book "1000 Places to See Before You Die". The town is famous for its champagne air, for the 13-kilometer long cliff walk along the oceanfront, for its fabulous coastline, for great beaches, for its fascinating flora and fauna and for the world’s best whale watching.

The Hermanus Golf Club (open to the public most days) is one of the best in the Western Cape. World-famous Arabella is under 30 minutes away. The Hemel-en-Aarde valley and wine region and the Fernkloof Nature Reserve are a few minutes away. You can get almost everywhere in the Western Cape, including Cape Town, on a day basis.

Bietou is a splendid location from which to enjoy all that Hermanus and the Western Cape has to offer.
