Alba, with its 10 acres of country tranquillity and safety, is the most central location in Cape Town. It is also the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city surrounded by beautiful vineyards and horses in paddocks while overlooking the majestic Western Cape Drakenstein Mountains.

Alba is the ideal holiday spot if you are a keen golfer, mountain bike rider, bird watcher, or hiker. With over 20 golf courses in a 30km radius and good mountain bike trails in the area as well as bird life and hiking space on the neighbouring farm Meerendal, it is a stone through away from your preferred activity.

Alba Guest Farm was originally part of the famous Meerendal Wine Estate - with its 305 year wine growing history and also has the oldest Pinotage vineyards in the world.

Accommodation

The 6 x Luxury (50 - 60 sq/m) cottages at Alba consist of 1 big bedroom with full en-suite bathroom (separate bath and shower), a big lounge dining area with fireplace and kitchenette. This allows you to experience living on your "own" wine estate while you are actually close to everything - beaches, 20 magnificent Western Cape golf courses, Table Mountain, the famous wine estates. The closest shopping mall from us is Tyger Valley Centre (5kms) and Canal Walk is approximately 10 kms from us.

If you are a horse owner, and you want to bring your horse with you, we offer a unique package where the horse can rent a stable and you can experience out rides onto our neighbouring farm Meerendal with magnificent views. You can even rent a stable and care for your horse when you go away on holiday.

Alba Guest Farm, an easy 30 minutes drive from Cape Town’s city centre, the ferry to Robben Island, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Stellenbosch, Somerset West / Strand, Paarl, Franschhoek, Simons Town, Cape Town International Airport, and Blaauwberg Strand. You are surrounded by beautiful vineyards, mountain passes and towns with over 350 years of history and culture.

Come and experience the most beautiful sunrises in the whole of Africa as the colours on the mountains change right before you. You are in Cape Town but can enjoy country style accommodation in the quaint West Coast Fisherman Cottages - 400 year style architecture under Cape thatch roofing.
