Acorn House**** is an elegant guesthouse in Cape Town. The location in Oranjezicht, a prime residential suburb of Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain, is exceptionally convenient. The city centre is a few minutes drive away, with the harbour`s Waterfront complex and the blue-gold beaches of the Atlantic Seaboard not much further. All touristic highlights are in easy reach. Near to many restaurants and a trendy deli restaurant is situated just opposite.

Accommodation

Acorn House is a National Monument, over 100 years old, and still smells fresh. Lounge, dining room and bedrooms have been lovingly preserved. Few, careful chosen modern details add to its charm. The nine and a half bedrooms, en-suite, are light-filled and offer exclusive, traditional furnishings combined with timeless elegant fabrics. The beds provide a very good sleeping comfort – this is often praised. Some of the amenities are a hair dryer, international power adaptor, shampoo and soap, and a gown.

Acorn House is a place to escape to. The atmosphere in the classic lounge or in the well maintained garden is relaxing, and invites to stay and indulge. Well chosen music adds to the mood, from South African Jazz or Chill-out tunes to classical music in the evening. A great selection of white and red wines are available, as is a Nespresso bar and so much more.

Breakfast

How do you start into the day? Enjoy the abundant breakfast which guests say is the 2nd best in the city‘. Let the ‚chef by passion‘, Tio, surprise you with Acorn House' signature dish, Janine's Cape Malay Pancake. In summer, breakfast is served 'al-fresco‘ at the pool, also a great place to chill during the day.
