803 False Bay Road \ Accommodation in Pringle Bay

803 False Bay Road is a luxury beach villa in a quiet, tranquil setting, with magnificent views over beach and mountains. Pringle Bay forms part of the Kogelberg Biosphere and the town has a very green outlook. There is emphasis on Fynbos preservation and the clearing of alien vegetation around the town as well as in the gardens. Protection and respect of the local baboon population is emphasised. The local community is very involved in the protection of the dune area on the beach so that the threatened Oyster Catcher population can breed successfully.

Accommodation

The house has four double bedrooms en suite. Three are upstairs rooms which open onto a huge balcony with exceptional views and one downstairs room where the hostess stays if taking the hostess rental option. The one room upstairs has a king bed, and the other two have two single beds. The downstairs room has a queen bed.

The lounge, dining room and kitchen are open planned, and all lead out onto a large verandah. The lounge has a fire place. The sunken dining room has a table which seats 12. The kitchen is fully appointed. There is a scullery and laundry. A TV with DSTV and DVD player are provided. The outside area is furnished with a large gas barbecue and out door seating with table. Rooms are equipped with fans, heaters and percale cotton bedding. There is an outside shower for after a beach swim.

Rental options

Option 1
Available to rent on a self catering basis, for which it then sleeps 8. Outside cleaners available at extra cost.

Option 2
Available with the owner / hostess who lives in, then it sleeps 6 as one group. In this case the owner is there to cook, clean and help with holiday plans etc.

Attractions and activities

There is a beautiful beach to walk on, sea swimming, many restaurants, great coffee shop and deli, gifts / art gallery. Many sports and activities in the area, including shark cage diving, whale watching in season, wine lands, golf, tennis, hiking etc. The towns of Hermanus, Somerset West and Stellenbosch are all within an hours drive from Pringle Bay. Day trips to Cape Point, Cape Town Waterfront, Stellenbosch wine route and the popular sea side town of Hermanus are all worth a visit. It is advisable to have a car.

Deep sea fishing and Cape lobster fishing can be arranged in season by the owner. Air flips around the Cape Peninsula from Stellenbosch air field can be arranged with the owner in his Cesna 210. Airplane trips to any destination in Southern African can be arranged and flown by the owner (commercial pilot).
